19thC Rag Doll ~ Original Clothing
19thC Rag Doll ~ measuring 22 1/2" tall ~ She is absolutely wonderful and has been one of my favorites ..
Her body is nicely stuffed with old cotton ..
Red wool that has wear on her legs ~ brown socks .. shaped feet ..
She has three early faces .. painted .. stitched and drawn ... drawn
I love each one ..
I have shown her with her paint face pinned on .. this is how i found her ..
Two of her faces were removed and pinned on when i found her..
Faces were pinned on the side of the dolls head .. single faces
Each face is extremely charming ..
She has many early threads showing on the back of her head ..

Neck area has a slight wobble ~
Underclothing homemade .. top and pantaloons ..

Brown calico hand sewn dress .. great gathered waist .. fabulous dress ..
Found in New England years ago ..
Its not often that we see 19thC rag dolls in all original clothing today
She is the kind of doll that would be great in a 19thC doll collection
