Early wonderful Pennsylvania Rag Doll ~ measures 19 5/8” tall ~ she has her early homespun body which is rag stuffed .. her legs are old cotton batting .. her early home spun body has a 1255-A on the bottom of her body .
this home spun may have been a early flour sack ..
She is in as found condition ~ I found her many years ago in Lancaster Co.
If she had arms they are not there ~ bottom of her body is only held together with one piece of thread so you can see her rag stuffing .. one leg is pinned on .. and she has those great shaped feet ..
She is the kind of rag doll that was a small child’s special friend and she would carried her every where she went .. her face features are hand drawn worn penciled ..
Her original dress is blue check homespun ~ tattered …
Every thing about her is absolutely charming …
Early rag dolls like she is are not out there … we find one or two a year ..
She sits nicely and has a beautiful loved look ..
