It is entirely hand sewn .. red calico wool .. 1840’s .. lined inside dress top hem area and waist area with old brown .. inside sleeves are lines with a fabulous early brown calico ..
Dress has its early buttons … hand sewn button holes … Sleeves ends have their original hook closures ..
Across the dress from shoulder to shoulder measures 11 7/8” ~ approximately 22 1/8” long ..
It is from a private collection and came from the Bucks Co. Pa. area.
This is the kind of dress that is extremely hard to find today in this condition … Museum Quality
