A wonderful and very early rag doll .. measuring 17 ½” tall .. She is firmly stuffed with old cotton batting .. She has the pinched waist indicative of the very early New England rag dolls ..
Face features are penciled eyes .. applied nose .. stitched mouth .. cotton stuffing shows just underneath her mouth ..
She has old early hair .
She wears early sock underwear ~ early cotton and wool slip petticoat .. and early calico dress ..
Her body is homespun linen and one arm is early sock ..
She has shaped feet and old black stockings sewn on down to her ankles ..
Old piece of fabric around her neck .. her head does not stay perfectly straight up
