Early Basket with lid filled with tied bunches of thread .. found many years ago at a farm sale in Lehigh Co. Pa.

There are six bunches of thread .. thread is old cotton ~

Basket is wonderful .. has a cover .. there are some splits missing on the cover and in a few areas on the basket .. all expected wear for this early basket ..
