Folky and very early New England rag doll ~ 19thC.  ~ Made with early homespun and calico’s ~

Her body is early homespun calico’s and blue stripe ticking ~

She is heavy and stuffed with rags ~ calicos ~

Back of her head early calico ~ upper part of her body are layers of calico ~ homespun ~ blue and white ticking ..

Face features are wonderful .. calico is sewn on to the back of her head ~

She has many layers of homespun on different parts of her body ..old socks covering part of her arms ~ early layers of homespun underneath  ~

As I was  found ~ one hand with fingers ~ other is worn and shows brown calico stuffing where hand would be ~ two legs are layers of homespun with blue ticking underneath old wear on bottom of both legs  ~ all charming authentic wear ..

She wears her early slip and early pantaloons ~
